Building Engineer

The Building Engineer role involves operating and maintaining all physical plant equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position may require working nights, weekends, and holidays during emergencies. Placement into a specific tier (I, II, or III) will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills, with higher tiers reflecting increased responsibility, expertise, and independence in performing duties.

Qualifications

The position of Building Engineer is open at three tiers: I, II, and III. Placement into a specific tier will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills. The pay for this role will correspond to the assigned tier and ranges from $24.57 to $42.33 per hour, depending on qualifications and years of experience. Building Engineer I

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current Drivers License
• Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under the Community Memorial Healthcare insurance coverages
• Two (2) years general maintenance experience working with electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical equipment

Building Engineer II

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current Drivers License
• Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under the Community Memorial Healthcare insurance coverages
• Five (5) years general maintenance experience working with electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical equipment
• Two (2) years of hospital maintenance experience
• Previous experience with construction management, Fire/Life Safety systems and BMS/EMS
• Able to read plans and blueprints

Building Engineer III

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Current Drivers License
• Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under the Community Memorial Healthcare insurance coverages
• Seven (7) years of general maintenance experience working with electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical equipment
• Four (4) years of hospital maintenance experience
• Strong HVAC and electrical background
• Current knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations
• Previous experience with construction management, Fire/Life Safety systems and BMS/EMS
• Able to read plans and blueprints
