Communicare are looking for a Senior Manager Womens and Family Safety Services to lead and manage our Women and Family contracted services to ensure safety, recovery and resilience for women and families experiencing family domestic violence. You will ensure services are delivered to contract, meet quality and safety standards and achieve outcomes for clients and communities.

The position is offered on a permanent full time basis and is predominantly based at our Cannington office with travel across Perth Metropolitan and regional WA locations as required.

The Opportunity

The Senior Manager Womens and Family Safety Services supports the development and ongoing strengthening of program logics, the expansion of existing services and the identification and procuring of new business opportunities, including proposal and tender submissions. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead and contribute to tender and grant submissions, ensuring proposals are strategically positioned, evidence-informed, and aligned with funding requirements, organisational capabilities, and long-term service objectives.
  • Provide high level advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on aspects relating to supporting women and families experiencing family and domestic violence, ensuring safety, recovery, and empowerment.
  • Lead and build a high-performance culture, by providing support, supervision and effective role modelling of behaviours that exemplifies values-based leadership.
  • Oversee end-to-end program delivery with a focus on compliance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement, ensuring services meet agreed budgets, KPIs and organisational expectations.
  • Lead incident management, crisis response, and behavioural complexity management in line with organisational policy and clinical governance standards.
  • Ensure safe 24/7 residential operations, duty of care and safeguarding standards are adhered to.

Your Experience

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or a related field. In addition, your experience will reflect:

  • Leadership in complex service environments: A proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams across diverse areas within the community services sector, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Specialist knowledge in family and relationship safety: Deep understanding of therapeutic approaches, particularly in the context of family violence and child protection, supported by familiarity with relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Stakeholder engagement and advocacy: Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, while championing principles of harm minimisation, social justice, and ethical practice.
  • Operational and strategic capability: Experience in risk management, emergency response planning, and change management, with a clear understanding of contract and compliance obligations.
