Full-Time, 12 Month Contract Opportunity
Our broader team plays a key role in helping the Financial Crime Compliance team become more mature and effective. This is achieved by focusing on managing regulatory requirements and stakeholder relationships, using data analytics, developing financial crime typologies, assessing the risks of changes, and setting up processes that explain the reasoning ("why"), not just the actions ("what"), behind how we meet our obligations.
Your team, Technology and Risk Support, provides second line risk oversight for the Financial Crime Risk in Change process. This means you help ensure that any technology change is managed with the right risk controls in place, and that thorough testing and review are carried out. The goal is to make sure these changes achieve their intended results, particularly in supporting financial crime processes and detection systems.
Lead Line 2 Risk in Change reviews for technology changes that affect financial crime processes and detection systems across the Group and collaborate with Financial Crime stakeholders throughout the change delivery process to define and review business, testing, and governance requirements to achieve Agile delivery outcomes.
Manage risks associated with technology changes by understanding their implications, overseeing related testing, and communicating impacts to key stakeholders & ensure all changes and testing requirements effectively consider relevant financial crime obligations and that stakeholders are engaged early in the process.
More specifically you will:
- Lead the review of change submissions at key stage gates, ensuring that changes receive the necessary approvals before progressing further.
- Participate in change review sessions with delivery teams to understand and clarify change requirements, offering suitable recommendations for testing and implementing controls.
- Review test requirements and assess testing outcomes to confirm that implemented changes effectively address identified risks and meet compliance standards.
- Work closely with various Financial Crime streams—such as Transaction Monitoring, Payment Sanctions, Customer Sanctions, Customer Risk Assessment, and Threshold Transaction Reporting—to support the delivery of changes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve processes across the team.
