The Engineering Pathways Crew are responsible for leading the modernisation of the DevSecOps landscape, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, emerging technologies and modern delivery methods.

We play a critical role driving smooth, safe and effective code development and deployment. We are the owners of essential engineering tools and processes, which we curate to facilitate faster, safer, and inherently compliant changes to production. We are pioneering and partnering to bring AI-powered engineering to the full engineering value stream to further enhance our engineering experience.

Your impact and contribution:

As a Chief Engineer, you will lead with agency and curiosity. You will take a pivotal role in the modernisation and enhancement of our engineering tooling capabilities and platform. You will be well versed in leading engineering tooling for Source Code Management, CI/CD, Code Security, Code Quality, Artefact Management and more, but will be a change agent seeking to revolutionise our DevSecOps practices to ensure they remain cutting-edge, efficient, and secure.

You'll have demonstrated driving the vision & strategy for a DevSecOps platform and will have hands-on experience of executing on the delivery of such platforms. You will:

• Contribute and implement DevSecOps strategies, technical standards and best practices
• Provide vision and direction for the implementation and continuous improvement of engineering tooling
• Ensure seamless integration of various DevSecOps tools to create a cohesive and efficient development environment
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to enhance supply chain security and implement robust security measures
• Ensure all engineering tooling and practices comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Collaborate with risk management teams to identify and remediate technology risks, ensuring secure and compliant systems
• Act as a subject matter expert for DevSecOps engineering tooling, providing guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience with DevSecOps tooling (CI/CD, Artifact Management, Automation Testing, Code Scanning tools etc.) and implementing & managing CI/CD pipelines with industry best practices
• Mastery in multiple programming and scripting languages with a demonstrable passion for software engineering
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms & containerisation technologies, including infrastructure automation and orchestration
• A passion for reliability, availability, security and performance with solid experience in areas such as SRE and security operations, including threat detection and vulnerability management
• Proven communication impact with the ability to influence and mentor at all levels from C-suite to engineering graduates
