The posted compensation range of $32.83 - $40.44/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Projects & Employee Health, this position is responsible for transporting inpatients & outpatients, as well as specimens and supplies, to and from various areas of the hospital. The transportation of patients is done via gurneys, wheelchairs or hospital beds. Responsibilities may include:

• Assists RN's in transporting non-stable patients.
• Assists Radiology personnel in transferring patients onto and off x-ray tables.

Minimum:

• Customer Service experience and experience dealing with the public is required.
• Graduation from High School or equivalent.

Preferred:

• Patient Handling experience highly valued.
• Hospital environment experience and CNA Certification preferred.

Must successfully complete competency validation for specific behaviors/tests required to be performed in this position. Customer Service experience and experience dealing with the public is required. Hospital environment experience is preferred. Be able to complete annual safety training, which includes back safety. Complete and maintain required unit specific training. Current Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification (CT BLS).
