The posted compensation range of $56.99 - $76.01 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

The new, four-story patient tower will house expanded Emergency and Trauma Services including:

  • 47 private exam rooms
  • 6 trauma bays
  • Dedicated pediatric exam rooms
  • Centrally-located imaging suite (CT, Xray and Ultrasound)
  • Expanded patient capacity
  • New waiting areas designed to provide a calm, soothing environment

Responsibilities

  • Use emergency triage protocol to intake discharge or admit patients.
  • Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team adapting care to changes in patient's condition as needed.
  • Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values beliefs and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patients condition.
  • Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes such as patient experience initiatives mentoring etc.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in California
  • One-year acute care ER experience
  • Basic Dysrhythmia EKG Certification
  • LA City Fire Safety Training (within 90 days from date of hire)
  • Crisis Prevention Institute Training (within 90 days from date of hire)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required for all areas.
  • ACLS PALS and MOAB required for Emergency
