HR Business Partners provides strategic people advice and closely partner with senior business leaders to drive leading people strategies and optimize business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • High calibre advice and counsel to the business, as well as applying analytical skills to convert data to insights and then to action.
  • Focus areas include talent management & succession planning, driving high performing teams, workforce planning, organisational change management, leadership coaching, organisational effectiveness, diversity and engagement.

The purpose of this role is to provide outstanding service, excellent advice and intuitive solutions to help our senior leaders build and maintain an effective workforce, performing at its best. You should also actively champion and drive utilisation of employee and manager self-service of HR services, policies and procedures.

This role partners with EGMS across Business Banking and reports to the General Manager HR, BB.

The role is required to effectively partner with senior business leaders and key teams within HR including the Core People Team and Group People services teams as well as the Centres of Expertise (C0Es) to design and implement people strategies, plans and processes that:

  • Respond to the evolving business contexts;
  • Drive measurable, people, customer and business outcomes;
  • Increase employee and business performance and;
  • Engage and develop a superior workforce

You will be known by stakeholders as a trusted advisor who adds value through business intimacy and understanding to provide constructive challenge and insightful advice.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Substantial, relevant experience within human resources or a related field
  • High calibre advisory, communication and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence senior leaders and build trust and commitment
  • Strong commercial acumen and business knowledge
  • Ability to understand and interpret business data and strategy
  • Proven ability to manage competing and complex tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills that create insight
  • Track record of effectively advising and coaching leaders on key business and strategic HR drivers
  • Successful design and implementation of strategic and transformational people initiatives
  • Thorough understanding of current best practice people, culture & engagement methodologies
  • Risk Mindset -All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with 5+ years as HR Business Partner
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
  • Post graduate qualifications are desired but not essential
