Your Role

As a Chapter Lead, you'll be a hands-on .NET expert leading strategic tech initiatives like automation, AI-driven engineering, and platform reliability. You'll guide and mentor engineers while actively coding and shaping the future of CommSec's platform.

What You'll Do

.NET Software Engineering & Automation

• Build secure, scalable services and tools using .NET Core/C#
• Design RESTful APIs and backend services with SQL Server and PostgreSQL (AWS RDS)
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and TeamCity
• Automate infrastructure and operations using PowerShell, Shell, Python, and IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Reliability Engineering

• Improve system reliability and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
• Lead incident response and postmortems
• Promote best practices in reliability and service ownership

AI & AIOps Integration

• Use tools like GitHub Copilot and AI agents to enhance development and operations
• Support AI-driven diagnostics and automation
• Contribute to AI initiatives like the "Hey CommSec" chatbot

Leadership & Strategy

• Influence architecture with a focus on automation and AI
• Lead technical strategy and complex troubleshooting
• Share knowledge through documentation and mentoring
• Participate in on-call rotations
