Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer

We are hiring a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer with experience in safety processes. With strong knowledge of battery and electrical safety practices and compliance requirements, provide support for the following tasks:

  • Lead and support PFMEA development with cross functional teams
  • Analyzes failure modes, causes and effects within processes
  • Defined safety risk using severity, occurrence and detection value
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce high risk issues
  • Maintain and standardize PFMEA and risk management documentation. Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements

50% - VPI program support for Atlas Battery Program.

  • Manufacturing cell design reviews
  • Identify HS concerns for manufacturability through the VPI program
  • Product design review
  • Chemical component review and analysis
  • Risk Identification and Assessment
  • Process Hazard Assessment (PHA) for manufacturing sites globally
  • Generating recommended actions

50% - Global Accelera HSE Support

  • Policy review support
  • PHA for manufacturing sites globally
  • Program stewardship ANVL LOTO
  • Transfer of information to support New Business Startup battery line in foreign market
  • Assist in the identification and creation Engineering design standards in relation to batteries

Key responsibilities include actively demonstrating safety awareness and promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture. Ensures employees are consulted and given the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures. Works cross-functionally, providing technical expertise, to improve hazard prevention and risk control measures, non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions, driving continual improvement within the site(s).

Job Type & Location: This is a contract position based out of Columbus, IN. Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
