We are hiring a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer with experience in safety processes. Responsibilities include VPI program support for the Atlas Battery Program, manufacturing cell design reviews, and identifying HS concerns for manufacturability through the VPI program. Additionally, the role involves product design review, chemical component review and analysis, risk identification and assessment, process hazard assessment (PHA), and generating recommended actions. Limited travel requirements regionally to Ohio and Michigan are expected. The position also requires global Accelera HSE support, policy review support, PHA for manufacturing sites globally, program stewardship ANVL LOTO, transfer of information to support new business startup battery line in foreign markets, and assisting in the identification and creation of engineering design standards in relation to batteries.
Key responsibilities include actively demonstrating safety awareness and promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring employees are consulted and given the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures, and working cross-functionally to improve hazard prevention and risk control measures, non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions, driving continual improvement within the site(s).
Skills required include manufacturing engineering and safety procedures.
This is a contract position based out of Columbus, IN. The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
