As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing design work, contributing to projects, and serving as a technical contributor on cross-functional teams. You will play an integral role in advancing projects through all phases of the design and development process — from concept to market launch — leveraging your engineering expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration to bring innovative Sports Medicine products to life. You will need to live within commuting distance to our Denver, Colorado office. You will work in a hybrid model for this role.

What you will do:

  • Translate user and clinical needs into engineering specifications, producing sub-system and component-level designs that are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-efficient.
  • Develop and analyze solutions through prototyping, testing, and verification to demonstrate proof of concept and ensure design robustness.
  • Apply advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex product design issues and make data-driven design tradeoffs with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing to advance projects through the full development lifecycle.
  • Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files, design documents, and reports, in alignment with design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of product use, clinical procedures, and customer needs to inform design inputs and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Uphold compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality results with ownership, energy, and accountability.

What you need:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
  • Knowledge of design and concept generation CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience/Knowledge working with Polymers or injection Molding preferred.
  • Knowledge of analysis tools (i.e., DFMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, FEA, Stack-ups, etc.) and statistical methods (i.e., leveraging Minitab for ANOVA, normality testing, confidence calculations, etc.) & ANSYS.
  • Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design.
