We are seeking a Quality Engineer Associate in Littleton, CO to join our team!
An entry level Quality Engineer on our team:
- Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
- Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment & conducts quality assurance tests.
- Performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
The ideal candidate specializes in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. They may also be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
- Ability to comprehend detailed work instructions, interpret engineering drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work effectively with cross functional groups - Engineering, Program Management and Customers with minimal assistance.
- Displays maturity of action and judgment with a demonstrated track record of resourcefulness from previous work.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs.
- Must be a US Citizen due to program requirements.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Space vehicles and architecture, programs, and requirements.
- Knowledge and proficiency using VE-CAMS and SAP.
- Broad mechanical and electrical production experience.
- Previous industry related certifications to include: Hardware Torquing, Adhesive Bonding, Polymerics.
- Quality Assurance inspection background preferred.
- Understanding of engineering requirements including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Production, test or machining knowledge.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements including AS9100, ISO9000 and/or AS9003.
- Experience with Government Customers (e.g. NASA) and requirements flow downs.
- Experience with dimensional inspection.

- Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
- Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
- Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
- Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $54,900 - $96,830. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
