Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Colorado team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies. Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer candidate will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team that supports hardware development. We are seeking engineers with education and experience to work in a fast-paced environment developing, building, and testing radomes, antennas, test fixtures, and electronic systems. The selected Mechanical Engineer will have responsibility for and should have expertise in the following areas:

  • Develop, test, and validate mechanical designs.
  • Create and/or modify primary and secondary structures with 3-D models, assemblies, and installations.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledgeable of materials testing and characterization methods.
  • Perform requirements definition, conceptual design, preliminary / layout, and detail design, drawing release, design review presentations, and fabrication support.
  • Analyze design risks, anticipate and mitigate risks when possible, and report concerns to the supervisor.
  • Work efficiently in an environment without the need for regular, direct oversight.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

- BS with two (2) years of experience or Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.

- Experience with metallic and composite design.

- Experience in mechanical design, specifically aerospace manufacturing.

- Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.

- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software, including pre-processing of models and post-processing of results, is desired.

- Writing and communication skills with experience contributing to and/or making technical presentations to internal and external customers.

Citizenship/Security Clearance:

- U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance. Active clearance is preferred.
