Job Title

Design and develop software to work with custom hardware. Develop embedded systems applications to work on multicore processors. Develop software unit test procedures and code/architecture documentation. Participate in all phases of the firmware development lifecycle. Work closely with the product development team including System and Electrical Engineers and Logic (FPGA) Designers. Participate in on-going technical discussions and code reviews. Support technical reviews and presentations both internally and externally to customers. Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles to the development of software for the target application. Estimate development tasks and support the ownership of project schedules with the team using Agile or other methods.

Minimum Requirements: Education: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Two years of experience working with real time embedded firmware (C++) in industrial applications. Specific skills: This position also requires education or experience in embedded peripherals and connectivity including SPI and I2C; industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT; troubleshooting and using test equipment including JTAG debuggers; plasma process; hardware design, test, debugging and PCB modification; digital signal processors and microcontrollers; data converters such as ADCs and DACs; temperature and humidity sensors; and embedded control loop logic.

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
