About the Position: As a Custodian with the City of Grand Junction Facilities Division, you will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, cleaning, and minor maintenance of assigned buildings and facilities. Candidates should be highly self-motivated and self-directed, efficient, and able to work both independently and as a team member.

About the Facilities Division: The Facilities Division is committed to maintaining the cleanliness, sanitization, maintenance, and optimal functioning of City buildings and facilities. What You'll Do:

• Perform indoor facility cleaning and maintenance.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors using a variety of chemicals, cleansers and equipment, vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment, and set-up rooms for meetings and special functions.
• Perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Secure facilities after normal business hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is a safety sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.

What We're Looking For:

Six (6) months of experience in cleaning and maintaining building interiors is desirable High School Diploma or G.E.D. Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license. Ability to work between the hours of 4:00 pm and 1:00 am. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
