The Energy and Infrastructure Consulting division of Leidos is seeking talented individuals to support our growing domestic and international business as an Environmental Services Engineer/Scientist. This position involves working in a team atmosphere and the successful candidate should be comfortable in this type of setting. Primary responsibilities include conducting due diligence and environmental reviews of proposed and existing projects and portfolios to support our Independent Engineering (Lender's Technical Advisory) and Owner's Advisory services. Our clients include utility companies, private developers, legal and financial firms, commercial and industrial facility owners, and energy service companies.

The Energy and Infrastructure Consulting group of approximately 130 employees is primarily engaged in private sector power opportunities and offers consulting services, independent engineering services, mergers & acquisition consulting, market analysis, and transmission study services. Our highly knowledgeable engineers and consultants work across functions to collaborate and challenge each other to innovate for our clients.
The Challenge:
Demonstrate knowledge and experience with environmental topics
Develop and manage data requests, while communicating with the Leidos team and the Client
Assess the adequacy of information provided by the Client, review and identify any issues, and communicate with the Leidos team and Client as necessary
Prepare reports and proposals in accordance with standard operating procedures
Perform all work in a timely manner within allotted budget
Conduct visits to project sites as required
Work with members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical or operational issues
Learn from Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts to advance their skills, knowledge and capabilities
Other duties as assigned
What Sets You Apart: (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related with eight plus (8+) years of experience in development/sitting/permitting of power generation facilities and/or facilities in the oil and gas, process, or related industries
Extensive experience with environmental issues associated with development, financing, and operation of energy sector projects, including such areas as threatened and endangered species, wetlands and waters of the U.S., cultural/historical resources, and wastewater discharge.
Strong knowledge and experience with air quality permitting and dispersion modeling.
Familiarity with USEPA air quality emissions test methods and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems.
Familiarity with: the Equator Principles; Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; Spill Prevention, Countermeasure, and Control plans and requirements; and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
Demonstrated experience and successful track record maintaining client relations and working with clients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to successfully meet deadlines under pressure.

Pay Range: $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
