Engineering Documentation Specialist

In this role you will do the following: generate engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schedules, and schematics; attend daily and weekly team meetings to discuss technical, schedule and operations issues; weekly status chart package and reporting to programs/management, review technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies; perform requirements analysis, coordinate technical exchange meetings, develop presentation material, and handle peer reviews.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the following: ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills; proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management; performing design assessments and developing data driven solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a STEM field, related work experience and/or technical training.
  • Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered.
  • Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred Candidates will have an Associate's degree in a STEM related field.
  • Good presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely on a weekly basis to management and customers.
  • Able to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers.
  • Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills.
  • Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management.
  • Performing design assessments and developing data driven solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, scrum master and use of Jira boards.
  • Strong skills in use of Python, C/C++, IDL, CREO, and/or Matlab.
  • Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills.
  • Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) for procurement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team based environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
