Summary: Life Sciences Group at GBA is welcoming entry level engineers in Lenexa, KS. Life Sciences serves many of the world's top 20 bio-pharma companies. Our Life Science group is a collaborative team of engineers and architects focused on the design of mechanical and electrical systems within the bio-pharma industry. Life Sciences offers the opportunity to work within an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, project managers, and construction managers.

What You'll Do

• Design various electrical systems such as lighting, power, and low-voltage specialty systems.
• Prepare construction documents for various electrical systems
• Review of shop drawings and RFI's
• Verification of permitting and code requirements
• Assist with facility evaluation and engineering studies
• Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning
• Other fun duties as assigned!

What You'll Bring

• BS in Architectural or Electrical Engineering
• 0 - 2 years of experience
• Adept at working on fast-paced projects
• Seeking a collaborative team environment to work in our multi-disciplined office environment

Technical Skills & Abilities

• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• REVIT experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk around the office for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds

Travel

Less than 10% travel to site for site visits.

Salary

$74,000 to $80,000 based on location and experience level.
