Function: High Peak Camp and Conference Center seeks an innovative leader to guide and shape the future of programming and guest services for both the summer camp ministry and conference center guest groups.
Maintain a positive attitude and be a Christian role model for all camp staff
Prepare, oversee, and supervise summer camp and guest group programs
Uphold an atmosphere of Christian community which will promote spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social growth among its guests, staff, and others
Uphold all American Camp Association (ACA) standards and Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) in the operation of all programs
Assist in achieving and maintaining all documentation and implementation of ACA standards related in an orderly manner and for periodic review, including the accreditation process
Develop and maintain a risk management plan for all program operations
Provide strong fiscal management in all areas of responsibility
Implement and develop a program curriculum for summer camp and year-round retreats
Prepare program resource materials for summer staff
Assist the Divisional Youth Secretaries and Camp Director in the hiring of all summer and seasonal staff, both domestic and international (including recruitment travel and communication through both formal and appropriate social media means)
Strive to improve upon all aspects of the camp program, utilizing downtime between seasons to research and implement improvements for the following season
Lead and supervise High Ropes Course, Zipline, Climbing Tower, and Low Ropes Courses
Assist in marketing the conference center to potential guest groups
Coordinate guest group bookings
Purchase and maintain inventory of all program-related supplies
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending conventions and conferences related to the camp industry
Host guest groups in partnership with the director and other team members
Perform additional duties as assigned
Personal and joyful commitment to God through Jesus Christ
Bachelor's degree in camping, religion, recreation, education, marketing, or related field
Knowledge, training, or experience in all aspects of camp ministry programming
Experience in developing and delivering outdoor programs and education
Experience in marketing, coordinating, and hosting guest groups
Conflict management and problem-solving
Preferred experience of three or more years in a camp environment
Possess strong listening and communication skills
Able to work independently
Must be minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid in-state Driver's License
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead.
Ability to operate telephone.
Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
Ability to access and produce information from the computer.
Ability to understand written information.
