Control Systems Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Control Systems Engineer to evaluate existing systems and participate in the design of plant control and instrumentation systems across various industrial applications. This role involves developing deliverables for industrial, power generation, water/wastewater, and federal projects, and requires expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating existing systems and participating in the design of plant control and instrumentation systems.
- Developing deliverables for industrial, power generation, water/wastewater, and federal projects.
- Designing plant control systems utilizing DCS and PLCs.
- Creating P&IDs, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, and cable schedules.
- Producing schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Preparing procurement specifications and conducting technical bid evaluations.
- Providing construction support and developing proposal documents, including scope of work and fee estimating.
- Preparing reports and determining code requirements.
- Managing design budgets and schedules.
- Performing project field site visits as required.
- Recommending department plans, programs, and resources, including staff budgets and capital expenditures.
- Advising on hiring, salaries, promotions, transfers, demotions, and terminations of staff members.
- Attracting, retaining, and developing talent within the organization.
- Supporting designated members to identify career development objectives and conduct performance reviews.
- Overseeing department staff on execution standards, procedures, and policies.
Essential Skills:
- PLC programming
- P&ID development
- Power generation expertise
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Programming and electrical skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited university
- Licensed P.E. with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience
- Experience with engineering for DCS and PLCs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset
Work Environment:
The work environment offers a flexible schedule with two days remote and three days in the office. Travel for project installation and commissioning support across the USA may be required. Dress code is business casual.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, CO. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $250000.00/yr.
