Job Title: Business Services Professional (Intermediate – Principal Level)

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Administrative Manager, the Division of Cardiology Business Services Professional is a 1.0 FTE position that will be responsible for independently managing and supervising all phases of special projects assigned by the Administrative Manager and/or Division Administrator of the Division of Cardiology. The person in this role will also directly support the Endowed Chair for Interventional Cardiology and will provide operational support to the Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Imaging faculty. This includes recruitment of faculty, event planning, communications and website updates and recommendations as appropriate to complete assigned tasks and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing, coordinating, and directing projects of the Division of Cardiology.
  • Manages projects and process improvement activities related to the programs; reports on progress, and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Provide financial oversight of faculty startup accounts to ensure timely setup and accurate allocation of expenditures.
  • Provide high level coordination and analysis on multiple section strategic projects.
  • Management of administrative activities relating to the Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Imaging faculty.
  • Provide administrative support to the Division Administrator and various faculty to include but not limited to creating and distributing productivity reports, tracking of annual call schedules/holidays, generating monthly HRH/community practice call reports.
  • Organize and participate in various meetings to include room scheduling, organizing of schedules and taking minutes if requested.
  • Support of Division of Cardiology Conferences, Events, and other administrative duties as needed.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, educational technology, information systems, liberal arts, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • One (1) year of related experience in the areas of academic medicine, education, administrative support, or in a clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with University of Colorado software such as Concur (or other travel process software), PeopleSoft HCM, or m-Fin (CU Data).
  • Experience in a university or healthcare environment.
  • Advanced experience creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience planning meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Experience coordinating web-based meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Time management skills and ability to produce accurate and timely work products.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion with information.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

  • Intermediate Level: $60,000 - $69,175
  • Senior Level: $65,000 – $74,784
  • Principal Level: $70,000 – $86,001
