About You

As the Product Director, Commercial Technology Services you will report into the VP, Products – Commercial Technology Services and support our advisor and client technology product strategy, roadmap planning and oversee product launches from ideation through execution. You will have a deep understanding of our advisors' and clients' business and be able to incorporate their needs into product roadmaps. You will help drive our technology strategy across Colliers in collaboration with platform and product leadership, key stakeholders, user groups, engineering, and marketing.

In this role, you will…

  • Report to and work with the VP, Products – Commercial Technology Services to define product strategy and roadmaps for our advisor and client products to bring to life new capabilities and features through expanded offerings in the market.
  • Provide leadership over the practice of product management, including coaching, career development, and growth of the product managers.
  • Define, iterate, and be a steward of the product development process. Continue to improve upon our product management practices, methods, skills, and processes especially as we scale up the team.
  • Collaboratively define and manage the product framework used to identify, evaluate, and select potential initiatives in partnership with Service Lines, Research, Engineering, Marketing and Operations.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to guide our product strategy, and roadmap.
  • Oversee key strategic and cross-team initiatives and driving alignment and consistency around product management decisions made across commercial technology platforms.
  • Translate product and business strategy and priorities into roadmaps. Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of business stakeholders and users.
  • Create quarterly operating plans that establish criteria for success and measure performance of the team and individual contributors.
  • Identify pain points and improvements for internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage internal and external data along with qualitative research to increase confidence in the opportunity for impact within our vision and mission of the best new product ideas.
  • Ensure their team has the tools and training they need to be successful.
  • Stay current with industry, product, and market trends to identify potential ideas and disruptors and share with leadership based on opportunity and/or threat.
  • Engage with current and potential customers for feedback on potential product ideas and work with the field teams to identify research and revenue opportunities.

What you'll bring…

  • 12+ years product experience with at least 5 years in a product leadership role, managing cross-functional teams.
  • 7+ years' experience in commercial real estate with an understanding of the CRE lifecycle and demonstrated knowledge within the CRETech / PropTech product groups.
  • Experience working with SaaS products is a must and exposure to hosted Enterprise offerings is a bonus.
  • Own the product requirements and implement the processes to capture input from the business to inform the vision and user stories. Conduct effective UAT to ensure successful releases
  • Experience in Product MVP development, and hands-on product launch initiatives including business case preparation and presentation.
  • A track record of and a desire to operate in a fast-paced environment, building teams, frameworks, and processes. Make decisions quickly and iterate as you learn and progress.
  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
  • Strong, adaptive communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate succinctly to senior leadership, empathize with users, and collaborate effectively with functional colleagues
  • Experience with product lifecycle management methodologies and with using tools such as Jira and Aha! to generate formal product roadmaps
  • Experience using AdobeXD, Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, and other modern collaborative design tools
  • Demonstrated, proven experience of situations where you learned and understood a client's business domain previously unfamiliar to you

Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment. Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $166,750 to $180,000
