Sr Front-End Engineer (Angular) Onsite in Fort Mill, SC

We are seeking a Sr. Frontend Engineer (Angular) with 7–9 years of experience in JavaScript, Angular (v9–12), AWS, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end and back-end development, with proven experience delivering scalable web applications. Experience in Asset & Wealth Management is a plus.

Location: Fort Mill - SC USA - Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver complete front-end applications using Angular.
• Ensure high performance across mobile and desktop platforms.
• Write tested, idiomatic, and well-documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code.
• Coordinate workflow with graphic designers and HTML coders.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to build RESTful APIs.
• Communicate effectively with external web services.
• Demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript and HTML5.
• Create reusable, self-contained, and testable modules and components.
• Maintain a clear dependency chain in application logic and file structure.
• Provide SEO solutions for single-page applications.
• Apply CSS and JS techniques to ensure performance visual effects and maintain framerates above 30fps.
• Understand platform architecture including databases, APIs, caching layers, proxies, and other web services.
• Validate user actions on the client side and provide responsive feedback.
• Write non-blocking code and apply advanced techniques such as multi-threading.
• Develop custom modules and components that extend core AngularJS elements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Angular UI, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience in Angular-based web development.
• Solid understanding of AWS and cloud-based environments.
• Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules.
• Ability to maintain clear dependency chains in app logic and file structure.
• Experience with CSS and JS methods for performant visual effects and framerate optimization.
• Strong understanding of platform architecture: databases, APIs, caching layers, proxies, etc.

Annual Salary: $97k – $114k (based on experience and qualifications)

Eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and company policy.
