Role: Senior/Lead Mainframe Engineer

Experience: Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience is mandatorily required

Location: We are ideally looking for candidates willing to work in a hybrid model from the client location in New York/Pittsburgh PA. Remote work is not an option.

Hybrid Model – 3 days at Client's Office & 2 days Remote, each week

Skills Required:

• Must have Skills – Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, MQ, ESP/Control M
• Nice to have – Eazytrive, IDG editor
• Concept of GITHub, CI/CD
• Any industry standard certification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Mainframe TechLead with extensively hands on mainframe technologies - Cobol, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, MQ.
• Understand the entire application and own it.
• Effective communication with various stakeholders and provide accurate update.
• Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the application, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Batch monitoring and provide quick fix, maintain SLA.
• Analyze, develop, build, and deploy project BAU activities.
• Develop and maintain documentation for application processes and procedures and create repository.
• Participate in project planning and execution to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
• Guide and mentoring junior resources.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
