Senior API Automation Engineer (On Site)

Cognizant is looking to hire an experienced API automation to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable test frameworks and automation architecture. Work model: Hybrid.

Job Location: Charlotte, NC

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Participating in agile ceremonies.
• Coordinate with offshore/onsite teams.
• Co-ordinate with clients and business to collect the requirements.
• Co-ordinate with product manager or owner to clarify the requirements
• Setup automation framework
• Write test plans and cases for in scope requirements/user stories.
• Prepare test data
• Script automation code for candidate test cases
• Execute the automation scripts

These will help you stand out:

• 6 to 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Assurance
• 6+ years of experience in automation of UI application (using Selenium with Java) and API services (REST Assured)
• Very strong Interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong hands-on experience on Core Java, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Gradle, REST Assured, KARATE Framework, Playwright
• Working experienced on CI/CD tools
• Expertise in using JIRA and any other test management tools like Quality Center / ALM
• Experience in working with Agile based projects
• Should be able to play lead role by coordinating onsite and offshore resources along with customer communications

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $77,000.00 - $89,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
