Quality Analyst β Ad Operations (SME)
The Quality Analyst is the first line of defense in our campaign operations. While the Ad Ops Specialists build the campaigns, your role is to ensure those builds are flawless before they go live. You will conduct daily audits of media plans, creative implementations, and targeting setups across proprietary platforms and major DSPs/Ad Servers. This role requires a "detective mindset" to catch errors before they impact the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Flight Audits: Perform detailed QC on campaign setups (Direct IO and Programmatic) against the signed Media Plan. Verify flight dates, budget caps, pacing settings, and rate types.
- Creative QA: Validate creative assets for compliance (specs, file size, SSL compliance) and function. Test 3rd-party tags and HTML5 assets to ensure click-through URLs and impression trackers fire correctly.
- Targeting Verification: Rigorously check line item targeting logic (Geo, Device, Audience Segments, Key-Values) to prevent wastage or delivery errors.
- Error Reporting & Feedback: Log all defects in the error tracking system (e.g., Jira). Provide direct, constructive feedback to Ad Ops Specialists to help them correct mistakes.
- Live Campaign Monitoring: Conduct "Day 2" checks to ensure live campaigns are tracking and pacing as expected. Investigate discrepancies between the Ad Server and 3rd-party verification vendors (e.g., IAS, MOAT).
- SOP Adherence: Ensure all trafficking teams are following the latest Standard Operating Procedures for the customer's proprietary tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 3β6 Years
- Platform Mastery: Proficiency in ad servers and DSPs (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DV360, TTD, Yahoo DSP, Amazon DSP). You must know some of these platforms well enough to spot subtle configuration errors.
- Technical Debugging: Proficiency with web debugging tools (Chrome Developer Tools, Ghostery, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler) to troubleshoot tag firing and VAST errors.
- Video/CTV Knowledge: Strong understanding of VAST/VPAID standards and common errors associated with OTT/CTV environments.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot a single missing digit in a deal ID or a misconfigured geo-target among hundreds of line items.
