Jr. Software Engineer
We are seeking a Jr. Software Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in PL/SQL and SQL and it is a plus if they have domain experience in Finance & Accounting Governance Risk & Compliance or Property & Casualty Insurance. This is a work-from-office position with a day shift schedule and no travel requirements. The candidate should have novice-level proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL and SQL code to support application functionality and database management.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement efficient database solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation for database systems and applications.
- Work closely with business analysts to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures and protocols.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backups and performance tuning.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Provide support and assistance to end-users for database-related issues and queries.
- Contribute to the overall success of the team by actively participating in meetings and discussions.
Qualifications
- Possess strong technical skills in PL/SQL and SQL.
- Have a good understanding of database design and management principles.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Show effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Have a basic understanding of Finance & Accounting Governance Risk & Compliance or Property & Casualty Insurance domains (nice to have).
- Exhibit a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Certifications Required
Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate SQL Certification desirable
