Open Telemetry Engineer

Location: Remote

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Design and implement Open Telemetry-based instrumentation across microservices, APIs, and infrastructure to enable full-stack observability.
2. Integrate and optimize Prometheus for metrics collection, storage, and alerting, ensuring high performance and reliability.
3. Work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to monitor containerized workloads, optimize resource usage, and troubleshoot performance issues.
4. Integrate observability data with Splunk for centralized log analysis, correlation, and incident response.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define telemetry standards, troubleshoot performance issues, and improve monitoring coverage.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between 95,000 to 107,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
