The Network Operations Engineer is responsible for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management in a 24x7 network operation environment. This role involves maintaining network documentation, coordinating with site technicians, OEM vendors, and other stakeholders and ensuring network reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor network performance and detect anomalies.
Respond to alerts and manage incident tickets.
Perform diagnosis and SOP-based issue resolution.
Track and follow up on open tickets.
Maintain network documentation and perform incident trend analysis.
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of problems.
Respond to security incidents and support during major P1/P2 incidents.
Implement and maintain network configurations, patching, and vulnerability management.
Coordinate with site technicians, OEM vendors, and telcos.
Assist during scheduled maintenance and communicate with stakeholders.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and architecture.
Create and update SOPs and provide training to L1 technicians.
Qualifications
Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in network operations.
Knowledge of network hardware including routers, switches, and wireless devices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
