R&D DevOps Team Member
The selected candidate will join the R&D DevOps team, focusing on web development in an Azure-hosted environment. This role requires strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and internal customers. The candidate will be responsible for collecting, understanding, and translating requirements into technical feature implementations within Azure DevOps.
Flexibility in adjusting work hours to accommodate global R&D teams is essential, as coordination will primarily involve developers in Europe and the US East Coast. The candidate will also plan and coordinate work with other members of the R&D DevOps Data Insights team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications in an Azure-hosted environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Coordinate tasks with global team members and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Create effective unit and integration tests to ensure robust solutions.
- Estimate tasks accurately and manage work methodically from inception to delivery.
Required Skillset:
- C#, .NET, Full Stack Development
- UI/UX Design
- Experience with relational databases and SQL (SQL Server preferred)
- Multi-site configuration management (e.g., Azure DevOps (ADO) and Git)
- Developing software deployed to Azure
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to deliver against content, quality, and deadlines
- Effective unit and integration testing skills
- Task estimation and breakdown
- Constructive participation in code reviews
- Methodical and organized approach
- Self-starter with ownership of tasks
- Ability to propose multiple solutions and adapt to changing requirements
- Coordination with other developers for enhancements and bug fixes
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure Functions
- ASP.NET MVC (Razor)
- HTML5/JavaScript
- SQL Server expertise including T-SQL, stored procedures, and views
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Familiarity with Azure App Services / Entra ID
Compensation: $90,000 to $130,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 12/10/2025.
