We are looking for a skilled Java Production Support Engineer to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical Java-based applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues while driving automation and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Java technologies with problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of ITIL processes to maintain seamless operations and minimize downtime.
As a Java Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end support of Java applications in production. Your day-to-day activities will include monitoring system health, analyzing logs and metrics, debugging application issues, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents quickly. You will also contribute to root cause analysis, implement automation to reduce manual effort, and ensure compliance with security and operational best practices. This role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving system reliability and efficiency.

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
