We are your single end to end partner for consultancy, design implementation, optimization and support for all applications in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Manufacturing stack.

We are currently looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join its IT Engineers (MES, MTS, Data Analytics, Validation & Infrastructure) on a customer site in Cork. The successful candidate will have solid software engineering fundamentals and experience in developing and supporting software solutions. The position will work within an established team that provides software support to production and business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance the multiple software systems, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.

• Lead specific day-to-day work activities of the team including system issues, data issues and customer Incidents & Change Requests

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and IT to understand requirements and implement system improvements.

• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design, security, testing and change protocols as well as system procedures.

• Ensure ongoing team compliance with company Quality Standards and Practices when producing and maintaining all relevant system validation documentation.

• Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime or data discrepancies.

• Provide regular status reports and escalation of major issues to the relevant business areas and management.

• Maintain and optimize existing systems to improve performance and reliability.

• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for software-related issues in manufacturing environments.

• Manage ongoing compliance activities e.g. periodic review, audit trail reviews, access roster reviews, etc.

• Promoting the use of system functionality and new technologies to improve work processes.

Requirements:

• Pharma experience and knowledge of GMP, CSV and data integrity requirements essential.

• Degree qualification in IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3-5 years' experience delivering and supporting IT software solutions.

• Experience in developing, testing, and deploying software solutions using Python, SQL, and Java.

• Demonstrated learning agility both technically as well as business processes and applications

• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to work on their own initiative.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong self-management with ability to take initiative to identify and drive improvements.

• Effective communicator who can communicate and build relationships cross-functionally
