Desktop Support Lead

As a Desktop Support Lead you will make an impact by managing and optimizing IT infrastructure services. You will be a valued member of the team and work closely with the Banking team.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and oversee the Change LifeCycle Management process to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Coordinate Incident Management activities to swiftly resolve issues and restore services.
  • Provide expert support and guidance to the Service Desk team to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize ServiceNow to streamline IT service management processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain Windows-based systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure challenges.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to prevent downtime.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with IT standards and policies.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to build a strong and knowledgeable IT team.
  • Participate in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support and ensure continuous service availability.
  • Analyze and report on IT service metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and align IT services accordingly.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Possess strong expertise in Change LifeCycle Management and Incident Management.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using ServiceNow for IT service management.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and related technologies.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Show strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Display a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT infrastructure issues.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 9, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
