About the Role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to design, automate, and manage our on-prem virtualization environments (Proxmox, VMware Omnissa, Citrix). You will be part of the DevOps team and will integrate on-prem workloads with our existing cloud-native practices. This role requires a deep technical foundation — from hypervisor installation to automation — and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer Proxmox clusters (VM lifecycle, HA, backups, Ceph/ZFS).
• Build and test Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops and VMware Omnissa environments from the ground up.
• Harden and patch Linux/Windows VMs, deploying Wazuh agents for monitoring and compliance.
• Automate VM provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with DevOps team to provide VM-based environments to developers and projects as a "platform product."
• Contribute to hybrid integrations (linking Proxmox/VMware with GCP services).
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and templates in Git repos for transparency and reproducibility.

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Proxmox administration (KVM, clustering, storage).
• Strong Citrix and VMware Omnissa skills, from setup to troubleshooting.
• Solid Linux/Windows server administration.
• Automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, scripting (Python/Bash).
• Exposure to observability (Wazuh, Prometheus exporters).
• 4–6+ years in systems/virtualization engineering with DevOps practices.
