They are a fast-growing, mission-driven deep-tech company building advanced forecasting solutions that help drive sustainability efforts and optimize resource use.

We're looking for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to play a pivotal role, working closely with the AI Co-Founder and leading a small but talented team of ML Engineers. This is your chance to blend technical leadership with hands-on model development to help solve impactful real-world challenges using cutting-edge AI.

What you'll be doing:

• Shape the AI/ML strategy alongside the AI Co-Founder and leadership team.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 Machine Learning Engineers, creating a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Design and deliver production-grade machine learning solutions that solve complex business challenges (think forecasting, optimization, automation, and beyond).
• Stay close to the tech and drive model development, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to bring models into production and deliver measurable business impact.
• Explore and integrate modern AI approaches, from classical ML to deep learning techniques.
• Build and scale models

Requirements:

Preferred Tech Stack:

• Languages: Python for ML, R for data analysis
• ML Libraries: scikit-learn, Prophet, TensorFlow, Keras
• Data Processing/Storage: SQL, Spark
• Cloud Platform: Azure
• Version Control: Git

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience leading or mentoring ML teams (senior, team lead, tech lead, or equivalent roles).
• Has a proven track record of building and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
• Brings a deep understanding of machine learning and statistical methods (classification, regression, forecasting, optimization, etc.).
• Is equally comfortable coding, reviewing technical work, and contributing to strategic decisions.
• Loves solving real-world problems and thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
