Sales Associate

We are seeking a proactive Sales Associate to join our team, supporting our mission to expand and enhance our short-course and long-course offerings. This role is key in ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students and a smooth operational flow across our educational products.

As our Sales Associate, you'll have a blend of responsibilities spanning commercial, administrative, and growth-focused areas. You'll directly engage with leads and prospective students, supporting them throughout their journey with our short-courses and long-courses, while taking ownership of critical administrative processes.

This role requires someone detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a drive to innovate, as you will play a vital role in our team's continuous improvement and success.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Proactively engage with our leads from short-courses to convert them to paying customers.
    • Respond to 1-to-1 questions from contacts both before and after applying to our courses;
    • Utilize effective outbound sales strategies (email, phone, whatsapp) to upsell signal payments to our short-courses to full payment;
    • Proactively reach out to leads who have abandoned the checkout process to provide assistance and encourage upsell opportunities;
    • Take ownership of managing and presenting acquisition online webinars, ensuring smooth execution and optimal attendance to drive acquisition efforts;
  2. Own the administrative work of the short-courses.
    • Create and maintain accurate documentation, collecting candidate information to streamline administrative processes and maintain compliance;
    • Verify and reconcile payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures;
    • Monitor and track applications for public funded programs, providing timely updates and support throughout the process;
    • Generate and issue certificates as required for public funded programs;
  3. Support the admissions team working on long-courses and analyze and report on your performance.
    • Run contact enquiries by email, whatsapp or video meetings with prospective bootcamp students that have questions before applying to one of our long-courses;
    • Monitor your outcomes and provide insights into your performance, assessing the effectiveness of different strategies and approaches.
    • Document processes and share best practices with team members to enhance overall effectiveness and adaptability.
    • Contribute to the growth of our products with any ideas you might have, taking ownership of a few projects that will enable us and YOU to grow.

About you:

  • You are based in Portugal (ideally, you are based in Lisbon).
  • You (ideally) have 1 year + of experience in recruitment, customer support, sales or another valued customer-facing role. Tech-related experience is a plus.
  • You are a clear and confident communicator, with exceptional written and verbal Portuguese and English language skills.
  • You excel in organization, maintaining structure and finding practical solutions.
  • You've handled plenty of inquiries, such as calls and emails, in your work experience.
  • You prefer working autonomously and have confidence in your ability to learn independently.
  • You (ideally) have experience working with a CRM. Experience with HubSpot is a plus!
  • You also enjoy administrative work and having your own independence in managing and optimizing processes.
