We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician – Team Lead with leadership experience. This position requires an expert in electrical and mechanical inspections, start-up, repairs, and leadership responsibilities. This is a full-time opportunity for an energetic go-getter with a career growth mindset and desires. An ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented, work well with others, and have the ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities. Position requires a high level of correspondence with the service leadership team, project managers, equipment vendors, and customers.
Performs electrical and mechanical inspection, start-up and maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance. Promotes products and services represented by CMS. Completes all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service reports, expense reports, and monthly schedules. Promptly communicate to all stakeholders any service issues on jobs that warrant their attention to mitigate issues and complete the project. Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues immediately in the most cost-effective manner. Provides technical support and service for CMService. Works closely with dispatch to schedule the appropriate technicians based on knowledge, skill set and abilities for the job scope. Assist the sales team with planning/preparing for customer requests. Act as the liaison for equipment vendors, project managers, and customers. Works closely with project managers to maximize travel time and downtime. Continues to upgrade product/system knowledge to keep up with changing technologies. Must work safely daily and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times. Maintain a professional and presentable appearance, along with proficient verbal and written communication skills. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Provide best-in-class service to all the customers that we serve.
Bachelor's Degree in related field or 10-15 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a commercial HVAC environment. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Electrical or temperature control experience is required, and EPA Certification is preferred (i.e., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.). Ability to work in diverse conditions, including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing/working at elevated heights, etc. Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to read and understand Submittals, IOMs, as-builts, and prints.
