As a Senior Software Engineer at CME Group, you will engineer the secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions that underpin the world's leading derivatives marketplace. You will serve as a technical anchor within our Shared Services team, building the infrastructure that allows us to manage risk for a global client base. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring 2 days per week on-site at our corporate office 20 S Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60606.

Enterprise Java Mastery: Proven proficiency in Java development with a track record of building and maintaining high-availability systems.
Python & Linux Expertise: Significant experience developing enterprise-grade tools within a Linux environment using Python.
Data Versatility: Deep knowledge of both relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) database architectures.
Cloud Fluency: Practical experience leveraging GCP services to build scalable, cloud-native solutions.

The pay range for this role is $114,200-$190,300. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
