As a Shared Laboratory Resource Specialist I supporting Cryopreservation, Rederivation, and Colony Health Management, you will perform a variety of laboratory activities independently with minimal supervision at a moderate scientific complexity level while serving as a key support resource for laboratory operations and research customers. This is a primarily lab-based role requiring experience with laboratory operations, including maintaining equipment, managing supplies, preparing and mixing solutions, and supporting daily bench work activities.
A significant portion of this role involves working with animals and assisting with rodent breeding, rederivation, cryopreservation, and colony health management activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of supporting protocol development, and able to contribute to the planning and execution of research studies. In this role, you will also lead and participate in training staff on proper procedures and SOPs, ensure laboratory equipment maintenance, perform related duties, and complete special projects as assigned.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with occasional weekend requirements based on business needs.
