Join our dedicated team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Ambulatory Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility REI/IVF clinic, where compassionate care meets cutting-edge fertility treatment. In this vital role, you'll support patients through every step of their journey, providing high-quality nursing care in a dynamic outpatient setting. If you are a motivated LPN with a passion for women's health and reproductive medicine, this opportunity could be for you.

Caregivers in this role will work variable shifts, starting as early as 6:30 am at our Beachwood site, as well as early as 7:30 am at Richard E. Jacobs Health Center in Avon. Rotating schedules to start, with the latest being at 4:30 pm. Caregivers may float between areas as needed within ambulatory.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Collect and documents objective and subjective data and observations about the patient.
  • Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and report all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
  • Implement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider.
  • Document and verbally communicates the patient's response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.
  • Contribute to the revision of the nursing plan of care.
  • Provide education and information to patients and family members.
  • Maintain professional growth and development within the nursing field.
  • Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, share knowledge, experience and provide guidance when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing
  • Current Ohio License as an LPN M-IV or LPN Meds Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • 2 years of patient care experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Experience with Phlebotomy

Physical Requirements:

•Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. •Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. •Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. •Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. •Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. •Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

•Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
