A caregiver in this position works evenings from 5:00pm – 1:30am, including every 3rd weekend and every other holiday.

Job Details

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Supervise the functions, daily operations and caregivers in the Environmental Services department.
  • Implement goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units.
  • Provide effective utilization of personnel, policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
  • Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality cleaning and maintenance is being performed.
  • Maintain staffing levels and approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
  • Ensure cross coverage.
  • Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
  • Improve procedures and processes.
  • Analyze workflow and procedures and recommend changes, as appropriate.
  • Provide recommendations to improve speed, quality and effectiveness of the department procedures.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager or Supervisor OR a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Restaurant experience
  • Previously managed three or more employees

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
  • Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
  • Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
