Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility.
Cleans assigned areas daily.
Maintains hard floor surfaces: stripping and refinishing, mopping and buffing, auto-scrub as needed.
Maintains carpets; shampoo, extraction, gum removal and daily maintenance.
Completes waste stream removal; general waste, recycling, infectious waste, etc.
Follows all Environmental Services technical and operational standard operating procedures.
Follows and adheres to all hospital and departmental safety requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/General Educational Development(GED) preferred.
Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
None required.
One year related experience preferred.
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to move/transport items weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.)
