Join a close-knit team dedicated to improving the health and comfort of patients receiving care at home. As a Delivery Driver for Cleveland Clinic Homecare Pharmacy Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering life-saving, sterile compounded medications to homebound patients throughout Northeast Ohio. These medications often require special handling, such as refrigeration or careful transport of heavy or bulky packages and timely delivery is essential to help patients avoid rehospitalization. Reporting from the Business Operations Center, you'll provide exceptional service while representing the trusted Cleveland Clinic brand to patients and their families. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in supporting patient care, and enjoys being a key part of a compassionate, collaborative pharmacy team.

A caregiver in this position works 12:00pm to 8:30pm on a 4-week rotation, Monday through Friday for 3 weeks. Going into the weekend, a caregiver can work Tuesday to Saturday.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Perform pre-delivery cleaning and testing of equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy and Warehouse teams to prioritize deliveries.
  • Perform delivery of medication, supplies and home medical equipment to patients' homes and retrieve medical equipment as needed.
  • Assure proof of delivery documentation is completed and returned.
  • Interact directly with the patient or patient's caregiver, ensuring excellence throughout the patient experience.
  • Escalate safety concerns noticed in the home environment.
  • Store medication, supplies and equipment in vehicles securely and safely according to OSHA, TJC and other regulatory groups.
  • Handle hazardous medications safely according to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory groups.
  • Maintain delivery vehicle safety, efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Support basic inventory duties for supplies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License (VDL)
  • Obtain and maintain eligibility to operate Foundation vehicles
  • Two years of delivery experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Experience related to specialty pharmacy or homecare OR prior experience in FedEx, RTA and/or UH deliveries
  • Detail-oriented and observant to surroundings

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 60 pounds, load and unload trucks, sit or stand for the majority of a workday, bend kneel or crouch to set up and move equipment and use 2 wheeler safely.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
