Coordinates and facilitates compliance with Pharmacy related projects and programs. Acts as a liaison between pharmacy and various Cleveland Clinic professionals to promote Pharmacy projects and programs.
A caregiver in this role will provide Regulatory and Compliance support for Community, Specialty, and Home Delivery Pharmacies across Ohio, supporting medication regulation and accreditation efforts throughout the state. This position plays a key role within the Medication Safety Team, which oversees compliance initiatives across hospitals, ambulatory care centers, and Federally Qualified Health Centers. The caregiver will collaborate closely with pharmacy leaders, nurses, physicians, and other caregivers to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and promote operational excellence.
A caregiver in this role will work Monday - Friday from 7:30am-4pm or 8am-4:30pm.
Identifies and defines priorities to achieve regulatory and accreditation standards, leads process improvement initiatives and develops policies and procedures related to assigned area within Pharmacy (i.e. medication accreditation, drug information center).
Leads or coordinates multiple projects, initiatives or activities for assigned area; develops milestones and tracks progress; and reviews, collects and analyzes data (i.e. medication safety data, formulary specialty panels).
Acts as a liaison for the department and leads or participates in committees within the Pharmacy Division and across the health-system.
Participates in the development and delivery of education programs.
Maintains pharmacy resources for assigned area.
May assist with orientation/training and developing of the schedule for employees in assigned area.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in pharmacy required.
Advanced degree preferred.
Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire.
For individuals required to administer immunizations, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire are required.
For individuals required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA), or certification obtained within one (1) year of hire, is required.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare setting required.
At least six months of on-the-job training is needed to learn departmental procedures, CC policies and applicable State and Federal Rules and Laws.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
May require frequent standing, walking, or sitting.
Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
