The City of Virginia Beach is seeking a Campaign & Client Services Manager. This leadership role in Communications will oversee a team, manage communications work for Members, and strategize solutions for various projects and campaigns. The ideal candidate will develop communication plans across different platforms and write department annual communications plans that align with organizational goals. Responsibilities include:
Client Management
- Lead communications for multiple department clients, develop strategies, and ensure content meets objectives.
- Maintain strong client relationships and manage written content for SEO, ADA compliance, and AP style.
- Engage with team members, track work in project management systems, and attend/support events.
Team Supervision
- Train, schedule, and mentor account managers.
- Review and approve work, use project management tools, and conduct daily meetings to collaborate and support the team.
Messaging Development
- Create key messages and content for various channels, including social media posts, blogs, press releases, and video scripts.
- Draft responses to resident inquiries and internal communications.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Route media inquiries, submit design requests, and use project management platforms.
- Provide talking points, direct administrative needs, and collaborate within the City's ecosystem during emergencies or events.
