Utility Service Worker I/II: STORMWATER DIVISION

Utility Service Worker I = $17.72--$22.60

Utility Service Worker II = $18.77--$23.93

Nature of Work:

STORMWATER: Performs semiskilled work in maintenance of stormwater curb inlets and baskets in the Streets/Stormwater Division. Performs lead and skilled work in the operation of storm inlets and storm baskets; may oversee unskilled employees. Is required to work in adverse weather conditions. Depending on the position, may assist on a vactor truck, cleaning storm lines and storm systems, and assisting on TV inspection truck.

Minimum Qualifications:

Utility Service Worker I: STORMWATER DIVISION:

High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Six (6) months of experience in road construction, building construction, masonry, or related experience desired.

Utility Service Worker II: STORMWATER DIVISION:

High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years of experience in Public Works maintenance and construction repairs of stormwater inlets, curb inlets, and baskets repair; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B may be required depending on the assignment.
