Internal Notice for Teamster Team Members: This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 3 vacancies for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Public Works department. The internal Teamster eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred and eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the internal Teamster eligibility list. All other team members including part-time/temporary employees along with external candidates may apply for this recruitment. These individuals may be considered after the appropriate recruitment process of the collective bargaining agreement has been followed. If the vacancy is not filled through promotion by a full-time non-probationary Teamster team members, the next opportunity for placement will be to hire qualified part-time/temporary employees and external candidates.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
THE ROLE
Performs technical paraprofessional office and field engineering work including designing, drafting, plan checking, surveying and related work. Technical supervision is exercised over lower-level technical personnel.
Engineering & Construction Services
The ideal candidate for Engineering Technician III has design experience using AutoCAD for site development, public infrastructure, and building modifications. Knowledge in one of these areas and an aptitude for learning may be considered. The candidate should be proficient at working independently as well as working under the direction of different Engineers on multiple projects. Familiarity with the standard Microsoft Suite of Applications, especially Excel is required. The ability to communicate effectively with others (written and verbal) and maintain cooperative working relationships is essential.
Dev Flood Control
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, highly organized technical professional with a strong foundation in civil engineering. They have experience reviewing land development and capital improvement plans for compliance with codes, standards, and specifications, with familiarity in drafting and surveying as they relate to plan review. Skilled at interpreting complex engineering documents, legal descriptions, and construction plans, they work effectively with internal teams, developers, contractors, and utility representatives. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with the capacity to manage multiple projects accurately and efficiently. The candidate thrives both independently and collaboratively, shows initiative, and adapts well to evolving project needs.

SELECTION PROCESS
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
