The selected candidate will provide administrative and technical support to the division by assisting with records management, digitization of historical documents, and organization of project files related to capital improvement construction projects. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate, accessible records that support inspections, environmental compliance, bond exoneration, line locates, and construction management activities.
Pay Considerations The hourly pay for this position is $14 - $19 (based on education level)
Work Schedule This position is scheduled to work up to 28 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., with the possibility of occasionally working weeknights and weekends to attend outreach events.
The ideal candidate is a currently enrolled or recently graduated student at an accredited college or university pursuing a diploma, certificate, or undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field. This individual has a strong interest in public infrastructure, construction projects, and records management within a municipal environment.
They are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), comfortable working with digital scanning and document management systems, and eager to learn new software and databases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform quality control checks with accuracy and consistency. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to support research, reporting, and general administrative functions within the division.
