In order to be considered for this position, candidate must be serving permanently in the title of Principal Administrative Associate, or must be reachable on the Open - Competitive Principal Administrative Associate Exam #1507 or Exam #1128 or be eligible under the 55a program. The Division of Traffic Operations' Signals Street Lighting Engineering Design Unit is seeking to hire a Principal Administrative Associate Level 1. Under general supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, the selected candidate will perform and be responsible for work in the Division's asset management program, including the development, updating, and monitoring of databases used for tracking the progress of the Division's in-house construction contracts pertaining to the installation of Street Lighting and traffic signals. Prepare and generate detailed reports for senior management, monitor the database/tracker to identify any construction work order delays and estimated liquidated damage amounts for overdue work. The candidate will also be responsible for drafting complaint letter correspondences for ARTS, submitting letters into ARTS for completion, and uploading documents into the Division's directory. The candidate will be assisting the Director with management inquiries, meeting scheduling, process special managers' filling needs, and his interagency and internal outreach and coordinations. Work Location: 34-02 Queens Blvd LIC, NY 11101 Hours/Shift: 35 Hours/8am – 4pm/Mon-Fri This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed to between the City and DC37.

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or 2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or 3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above; 4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
