Job Summary

This position will work in the Office of Integrated Public Safety Solutions and is responsible for significant coordination and managerial oversight of the Rapid Integrated Group Health Care team. Performs moderately complex management of the multidisciplinary teams on a daily basis. Manage multidisciplinary teams capable of immediate mobilization and response 16 hours per day, 7 days per week for individuals suffering a behavioral health crisis. The team is comprised of three distinct but integrated components. These include: Licensed mental health clinician, Paramedic, Law enforcement.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Manages activities and supervisors of each agency, by conducting regularly scheduled meetings with supervisors, management from partner agencies and city officials to ensure accountability and oversight.
  • Responsible for identifying potential program issues, develop contingency plans when risks are identified, and provide options to help prevent issues from becoming challenges.
  • Manages work for internal approvals to ensure quality controls are transpiring and records are approved appropriately.
  • Establishes short, mid, and long term goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates expansion of the program to increase coverage.
  • Oversees and establishes detailed reports (budget request, expedition, payments, design submittals/approvals, close-outs).
  • Oversees and develops the program team schedule and priorities.
  • Identifies information required for creating success and accountability metrics by utilizing available resources or obtaining new ones when necessary.
  • Conducts audits and reviews of agency reports to monitor the progress and the compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Provides technical guidance in the unit or functional program area.
  • Fosters relationships with partnered agency leadership and external agencies, to evaluate industry standards/best practices.
  • Acts as the program liaison, point of contact to internal city departments.
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to identify, track and measure key performance indicators to assess overall departmental performance.
  • Ability to make decisions and respond simultaneously to multiple requests for information in accordance with established laws and ordinances.
  • Must thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities in a hands-on manner while being resourceful and innovative at tackling challenges in a timely manner.
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis and track projects throughout their life cycle, creating reports to summarize the above to the Departmental executive leadership team skills.
  • Develops and implements standardized reporting formats skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all levels of management, city officials, vendors, other government agencies, other employees and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of people.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. (Required)

-Master’s Degree from an accredited university. (Preferred)

Experience

Four (4) years of professional level experience in performing operational analysis which involved responsibility for two (2) or more of the following areas:

  • Development of policies and/or operational procedures
  • Implementing improvement initiatives
  • Completing process improvement projects
  • Strategic and tactical planning activities in areas such as business and organizational planning
  • Evaluates operational effectiveness

And three (3) years of supervisory/management level experience.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.

Salary Range

$64,252.45 - $79,800.20

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
